Mavic Cosmic SLR 45 Disc Road Bike Wheels

The Mavic Cosmic SLR 45 Disc road bike wheel combines an aerodynamic carbon rim profile with ceramic bearings and FORE spoke technology. As a result, it offers minimal drag, maximum stiffness and excellent tubeless compatibility. The aero profile is optimised for 28 to 30 mm tyres, with an internal width of 23 mm, enhancing comfort.

Ceramic bearings and rim construction
The Mavic Cosmic SLR 45 Disc road bike wheel is fitted with Mavic ceramic bearings for less friction than with conventional bearings. The aerodynamic rim profile is optimised for wider tyres and has an inner width of 23 mm.

FORE spoke anchoring technology and aero profile
Mavic uses FORE technology to anchor the spokes directly into a metal insert integrated into the carbon construction; thus, no holes need to be drilled into the rim itself. This results in a stiffer rim, which improves responsiveness on the road. As there are no rim holes, there is little chance of air leaks, the rim's weight can be reduced, and fitting tyres is easier. The aero profile improves handling in crosswinds, making it easier to maintain an aero position in unstable wind conditions.
